We’re glad you asked.  Here’s how it works.  The hotel savings cards can be offered to anyone anywhere. There are over 1 Million Hotels available to use the savings at, around the world and the end-user can pay in dozens of different currencies.  The Restaurant incentives are only redeemable in the United States and Canada.  Our Complimentary Hotel stay incentives can be used by anyone from any country as long as the destination they are redeeming is at least 100 Miles or 160 kilometers away from the end users residence.  In other words, the end-user or your customer cannot use a vacation incentive to stay at a hotel in their own city they must be traveling a minimum of 100 miles.    The only exception to this currently for the complimentary hotel stays is Residence of Mexico cannot currently use the Mexico destinations but they can use the Hotel savings cards and they can use any Complimentary Hotel Incentive outside of Mexico.  

Yes, our digital incentives created will be assigned an expiration date 7 days out from the date you sent it. Please note that the expiration date shown on the digital incentives only pertains to the actual activation of the incentive. After your customers activate a vacation incentive, they will have  18 months to travel.  To activate the guest simply needs to pay the daily taxes and fees that correspond to the incentive online.  Currently, the activation must be paid in $US dollars, we will offer this in other currencies as soon as possible. 

The business model works best when the customer activates right away otherwise most will forget they even received it.  During this 7 day period, we will send them up to 2 emails and or SMS text messages to remind them to activate.  Our redemption rate is the highest in the industry because the 7-day expiration date provides a sense of urgency to activate and use it. No, the expiration date pertains to activation of the vacation incentive only. Once your customer activates by paying the taxes and fees of a vacation incentive they will then have at least 18 months to travel.   For example for our US resorts the activation fee runs from $19.45 per night to about $33.60 on average per night and our Mexico offers $19.70 per night.  This fee is subject to change and varies by destination.

No, we do not do any other marketing to your incentive recipient.  We respect our business partners and have no intention of spamming your clients with email.  We will send up to 3 email reminders during the first 7 days prior to the incentive expiration to remind them to activate.   If they do activate then they have become a customer of ours as well and we may need to have further communication with this customer concerning the reservation, or reminding them to book dates or consider upgrades etc.  

Yes, you can! Each incentive has a "Compliments Of" area. You have the option to fill this area in with your business name, or website.

Your customer may activate an incentive online by paying the resort taxes and fees per night.   Once they activate within 7 days of receiving the digital incentive your customer will have 18 months to travel. No. You may not. Reselling or bartering the incentives will cause us to void the incentive. This will violate our terms, conditions, and agreements you accept before using our incentives.  The agreements we maintain with our hotel and resort companies prevent us from competing against or jeopardizing their published rack rate. If you were able to sell these incentives, there would be no way to prevent a member from selling our incentives directly to the end-user, thereby creating competition and lowering our partner properties' published rates. So they cannot be sold or bartered for services in any way. 

This is a great question. At Marketingboost.com we teach all of our customers NOT to necessarily use the word "Free" when promoting our incentives. Instead, we promote the use of words and phrases such as "Included with Purchase," or "Complimentary Vacation incentive," or "Selected To Receive." This way you are still getting the same response rates as if you did use the word "Free"  We also do suggest that you find ways to disclose the terms to your customers.  For example, it is a good idea to say something like.  You will receive a 3 night complimentary hotel stay on us, You will only be responsible for personal expenses such as hotel taxes, resort fees if any, food, and beverages as well as transportation.  

If you prefer to pay the fees for your clients you can do this by funding your “MarketingBoost Wallet” and prepaying the fees for your clients to provide a truly free couples getaway.  The Wallet must be funded with a minimum of $500 US to use this option.  

We definitely encourage our members to test the incentives for themselves. We want you to be excited to be able to offer our incentives to your customers.  As a member you can use one of the complimentary hotel stay incentives and unlimited use of the Hotel Savings Cards and Restaurant Voucher incentives.  

It is a great idea for members to use them as incentives for employees to meet their goals, but keep in mind that they are NOT meant for group travel.  Our incentives are to be used for promotional use only and are not designed for group travel. You would not be able to put together a group vacation package using our incentives for your employees/staff or network marketing downline organization for example. You would not be able to continue to give away these vacations to the same team members as the limitations are only 1 per household per year for your customers not for staff or employees of your company. 

There are very specific regulations regarding "gifting" your clients in these industries. We are not your lawyers but It is our understanding that if you were to use an incentive as a way to "bribe" a customer or anyone for that matter into sending you referrals it would be against regulation. However, if you use it as a gift after the purchase, just as a thank you to your customer, it is our understanding that this scenario would be in compliance. This was found directly on the RESPA website: Can a lender give a borrower an incentive, such as a chance to win a trip or a rebate, for doing business with the lender? RESPA does not prohibit a lender or other settlement provider from giving the borrower an incentive for doing business with it as long as the incentive is not based on the borrower referring business to the lender. Also, you can use incentives as lead generators to help boost response rates to your ads. I.E. "Find out what your home is worth, get a No obligation home value report and receive a complimentary vacation incentive, No Purchase Necessary." You are not requiring anyone to pay you any money so this strategy would be in compliance. We have heard that Insurance companies cannot spend more than $12 on a gift for a customer. Since you pay a Flat FEE  to give away as many as you need; how much did the incentive end up costing you if you factor the annual price divided by how many you gave away that month?. Also, since your customer has to participate by sending in fees to receive the incentive gift, you are not actually giving them a vacation that you paid for. You are simply presenting them with the opportunity to take advantage of a really great offer if they are willing to participate. Since you are not purchasing the vacations outright, using our marketing incentives in these industries is compliant.  You may want to consult with an attorney in your market to ensure you are in compliance. 

Great Questions we are glad you asked as this is one of the benefits that set us apart.  Although we may promote specific properties with each incentive destination. Each of our destinations may have as many as 50 participating hotels, based on the dates selected we will showcase up to 3 different Hotels for your client to choose from based on availability.  For Example currently, we are featuring the Mayan Palace resorts in Mexico However, If the property we promote is not availed based on availability we may be able to give the user other great choices they can pick from.    Keep in mind that these are promotional offers to fill what would otherwise be an empty hotel room.   Your customer will be able to choose the hotel from our featured list.   The properties that participate in these promotional offers release the unoccupied inventory to us just 30 days ahead of time thus it requires the end user to give us a minimum of 30 days advance notice to book dates which will provide your customer with significant savings on their travel.  We also recommend your customer choose weekdays vs weekends and avoid major holidays for best hotel options and availability.

Yes, and No depending on how you use the platform.  If you set up a website with our API integration you can allow your customer to select a destination.  We find however that too many choices means they end up selecting none.  We recommend you do your promotions based on a preselected destination you chose and send from our back office portal.  Once you or your client has selected a destination and activated it then it is no longer changeable except under acts of God or Force majeure.   

With the Hotel Savings cards, your guest can book a hotel with savings at the last minute, as a matter of fact, even same day bookings are available.   The complimentary vacation incentives do not work for last-minute bookings.  Customers must book with a minimum of 30 days advance notice prior to preferred or selected check-in dates.  So as long as the guest is booking more than 30 days out we can fulfill based on the availability of course.  The properties that we work with release their unoccupied inventory to us daily with 30 days out, so there is no way around this. Remember, we are filling otherwise empty rooms for the participating properties and this is the time frame that they use to project what their occupancy will be. Based on what their projection is will determine how many allotments they can provide to us for these promotions. 

The taxes and fees are based on a few factors, examples include but are not limited to local tourism and bed taxes, value-added tax, sales tax based on the full rack rate of the accommodations, maid service fees, zone surcharges, travel agency fees, federal, state, local, or municipal taxes, etc.  most average only about $30 US per night.

These promotional incentives are designed for couples or small families.  More than 2 persons will be harder to accommodate with these promotions and in many cases not possible.  ONLY one incentive will be honored per household or friends & relatives traveling together.  We recommend promoting these as a Couples getaway for a better user experience.
